JEWISH WAR VETERANS/ NEQJCC ESSAY WINNERS TO GET
AWARDS AT BREAKFAST SPONSORED BY JWV BELL OAK POST NO. 648

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 13, 9:15 A.M. AT SAMUEL FIELD Y

Bell Oak Post No. 648 of the Jewish War Veterans of America [JWV] and the Northeast Queens Jewish Community Council [NEQJCC] announced the presentation of awards to the winners of their essay contest takes place Sunday, October 13, 1996 at 9:15 a.m. at the Samuel Field YM&YWHA, 58-20 Little Neck Parkway. Bell Oak Post No. 648 chose the following theme:

"What do you think the Jewish War Veterans have contributed to the freedom of the United States of America?"

The essay winners, announced by Bell Oak Post Commander Raymond T. White and NEQJCC President Corey Bearak are:

2nd	Tamir Saland	Jillian Brass
3rd		tie: Jonathan Jacobsen and Gregory Radnan

The awards will be presented by dignitaries including Member of Congress Gary L. Ackerman, Member of the Assembly Mark Weprin and City Councilman Sheldon S. Leffler.
