NYC CENTRAL LABOR COUNCIL PREXY KEYNOTES NEQJCC INSTALLATION; AWARDS TO MICHAEL ROGOVIN & MADY CASLOW; CONGRESSMAN MANTON TO INSTALL BEARAK TO 7th TERM AS PRES., OCT. 26, 10:30am AT OAKLAND JEWISH CENTER

Corey B. Bearak of Bellerose, an attorney with experience in state and city government, will be installed to a seventh term as President of the Northeast Queens Jewish Community Council [NEQJCC] on Sunday morning, October 26, 1997. The "Installation Breakfast" and awards reception, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. at Oakland Jewish Center, 61-35 220th Street in Bayside [south of the L.I.E. and west of Springfield Boulevard] in Bayside, features a Keynote Address by NYC Central Labor Council President Brian M. McLaughling and the Installation of Officers by Congressman Thomas Manton, also chair of the Queens Democratic Party. At its reception, the NEQJCC will honor Deputy Counsel to the Queens Borough President Michael Rogovin with an award to be presented by Queens Borough President Claire Shulman. In addition, the Council will honor its Mady Caslow, Associate Executive Director of the Samuel Field/Bay Terrace YM&YWHA, with an award to be presented by Y Executive Vice President Dr. Steven Goodman.

In addition to Mr. Bearak, a delegate from Temple Sholom of Floral Park, Congressman Manton will install Joseph M. Varon, a delegate from the Young Israel of New Hyde Park, as First Vice President; Susan Fogel, a delegate from the Young Israel of Windsor Park, as Second Vice President; Helene Zaro, a delegate from the QJCC who attends Bell Park Jewish Center, as Third Vice President; Marcia Federman, a delegate from the Jewish Center of Bayside Hills, as Recording Secretary and Max Singer, a delegate from the Marathon Jewish Community Center, as Treasurer.
