"The Race for City Hall� 

Held 9:30 a.m. at Samuel Field Y, 58-20 Little Neck Parkway, Little Neck, NY, the program followed a light breakfast sponsored by Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care & Rehabilitation.  The Speakers: City Comptroller William Thompson and City Council Anthony Avella.  David Seifman, City Hall Bureau Chief for the New York Post served as moderator Corey Bearak, President of the Queens Civic Congress and NEQJCC's chair, served as program chair.  The program was organized by Queens Civic Congress and Northeast Queens Jewish Community Council and hosted by New York Post and its affiliated Community Newspaper Group, The Samuel Field Y, Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care & Rehabilitation, UJA-Federation of New York, Queens Hadassah, Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty ("Met Council"), and the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York.   Assembly Member Mark Weprin, Parker CEO Michael Rosenblut, JCRC Executive Vice President Rabbi Michael Miller and Samuel Field Y Executive Director Steve Goodman delivered greetings prior to the program.  Photos from the Forum follow below
